The Norway House Foundation funds fellowships for qualified Norwegian
graduate students who want to study in Northern California.
Applicants for the Norway House Foundation Educational Fellowship must
meet the following criteria:
1) Applicants must be Norwegian citizens.
2) Applicants must be accepted as a full-time student in any field of study
at the Masters or Ph.D. level by an accredited graduate school located
in Northern California.

3) Applicants must demonstrate their intention to return to Norway after
their studies.
4) Preference is given to students who are descendents of or are related
to Norwegian merchant seamen who served in World War II (Krigsseilere).
Awards will be made in the range of $10,000-$20,000 per Fellow which may
be used for tuition, room and board, books, and travel expenses. Awards may
be renewable, depending upon the candidate’s academic progress, program
requirements and performance.
Norway House Foundation Graduate Fellowships are administered through the American Scandinavian Foundation and applicants must follow their application process. The American Scandinavian Foundation is responsible for disbursing funds to the selected candidate and providing an annual report to the Norway House Foundation on the student’s progress.
